About the role

In this role, you’ll be part of a supportive and dynamic IT team that values curiosity, collaboration, and a service-first mindset. You’ll help our employees stay productive by solving hardware, software, and network challenges — always with a customer-oriented and solution-driven approach.

What you'll do

  • provide first-line technical support to employees via email, or in-person, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues,
  • troubleshoot and resolve IT problems, including desktop/laptop issues, printer malfunctions, software installation, and configuration problems,
  • assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • ensure timely and accurate documentation of all support activities, including issue resolution, escalation procedures, and knowledge base articles,
  • collaborate with the IT team to test and deploy software updates and security configurations.
  • conduct hardware and software inventory management, including asset tagging, tracking, and maintenance,
  • collaborate with IT team members on projects and initiatives to improve IT infrastructure, systems, and processes,

What you’ll need

  • You are currently enrolled in a university program (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least two semesters remaining.
  • Strong learning ability and high motivation to quickly understand and adapt to new technical topics.
  • Ideally, you already have some first experience in IT support through internships, student jobs, or personal projects.
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Very good communication skills – able to explain complex technical information clearly and patiently to non-technical employees.
  • A strong service mindset, with a focus on providing helpful, reliable, and solution-oriented support.
  • Working style: proactive, structured, and organized, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple requests simultaneously when needed.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and proficiency in German is a big plus
