About Atrya

Atrya is building the next generation of payment providers - a native, fully compliant payment infrastructure based on electronic money tokens. Our goal is to make payments faster, programmable, and seamlessly integrated into digital platforms.

Our products range from cross-border transactions to Agent-to-Agent Pay, enabling digital payments for e-commerce and beyond - all powered by our e-money token infrastructure. We’re VC-backed and growing fast, combining the precision of regulated finance with the agility of modern tech.

Your Role

As a Scientific Research Associate (Regulatory & Product), you’ll work directly with our founders, Lorian, Julia and Ben, supporting strategic initiatives in regulation, product development, and go-to-market execution. You’ll gain hands-on insight into how a regulated fintech operates and help shape our MiCAR and DORA frameworks - key pillars of Atrya’s licensing and product roadmap.

This is a high-impact role in a fast-moving environment where ownership and execution matter, bridging disciplines between tech, regulation, and product.

Tasks

  • Support the founders in regulatory and product-related topics (MiCAR, DORA, PSD3, AML).
  • Help draft compliance frameworks, risk procedures, and documentation for licensing.
  • Assist in building back-office operations in Greece or Latvia.
  • Contribute to product–market fit and assist with product design for stablecoin-based payments.
  • Build flowcharts and process maps for internal and regulatory use.
  • Conduct market and regulatory research across the EU fintech landscape.
  • Collaborate with tech and operations teams to align compliance and product requirements.
  • Prepare documentation for investors, regulators, and partners (e.g., PwC, legal advisors).

Requirements

  • Student or recent graduate in Business, Law, Finance, or Economics.
  • Hands-on, ownership, structured, and analytical, with a bias toward execution.
  • Able to use standard tools (e.g., PowerPoint) independently; proactive and detail-oriented.
  • Communicates clearly in English (German is a plus).
  • Interest in fintech regulation (MiCAR, DORA, PSD3, AML) and digital assets.
  • Reliable, curious, and eager to learn directly from the founders.

Benefits

  • Work side-by-side with the founders Benjamin James, Lorian Qorraj and Julia Beermann on real fintech challenges.
  • Learn how regulated payment systems are built from the ground up.
  • Join a VC-backed, next-generation payment provider shaping the future of compliant payments.
  • Take ownership from day one — your work will directly impact how we operate.
  • Be part of a small, international team based in Berlin and Hamburg

Send us your CV or LinkedIn profile, and a short note on why you want to help build the next generation of payment providers.

We look forward to hearing from you!
