Financial Controller (m/w/d)

to help shape our journey in Germany. Someone who’s ready to grow with us, build something from scratch, and take on responsibility early.

Your Role: Drive Financial Clarity & Business Impact

As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in establishing a strong performance-driven finance function in Germany. You’ll work closely with our Head of Finance and collaborate with the finance team in Belgium. Your mission: assure accurate financial and KPI reporting on a monthly basis, create transparency, and enable smart decision-making. This is a hands-on role with real ownership and the opportunity to grow as we scale.

Tasks

  • Take ownership of monthly management reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs, budget vs. actual)
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Develop and improve controlling tools, reports, and dashboards (Excel/Power BI)
  • Drive financial process improvements and automation
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders (External accountants, Auditor, Belgian Finance team, , HR, Legal,)
  • Support M&A activities (financial analysis, integration, reporting)
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses and management insights

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Controlling, or similar
  • 3–5 years of experience in Controlling, Financial Analysis, FP&A, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, KPIs, and cost analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Structured, analytical mindset and high attention to detail
  • Hands-on mentality and a proactive, solution-oriented working style
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing environment
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Bonus: Experience in M&A or financial integration is a plus.
