Tasks

As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading key financial functions and ensuring operational excellence across the organization. Your main tasks will include:

• Manage all financial operations, including tracking expenses, overseeing salaries, and ensuring accurate budget control.
• Develop and maintain financial models to track portfolio performance.
• Support our startups founders in raising capital and get their next financing rounds done.
• Collaborate with the investment team on reporting requirements and data management.
• Handle the execution of investment transactions and manage related documentation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, including reporting standards and governance.
• Monitor financial performance of portfolio companies.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, overseeing finance and accounting.
• Proficient analytical and financial modelling and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with German/European legal and regulatory requirements, particularly in a venture capital or start-up context preferred.
• High attention to detail while managing financial operations and documentation.
• Fluent in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About the role

As a Finance Manager at EWOR, you will work closely with the Investment team, reporting directly to Florian Huber, one of the Co-Founders of EWOR. In this role you will oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the management of our startup portfolio (100+ tech companies in Europe and the US).

With a focus on managing finances within the company, tracking portfolio performance, and executing investments, this role is ideal for a professional with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of finance and legal frameworks.

• Starting Date: May 2025
• Location (hybrid model): in our Berlin office (city center), with flexibility for two days of remote work per week.
• Language Requirements: Proficiency in English and German (written and spoken).
